The Brew Flight of the Week with Core4 Brewing
It’s that time again, a new week, a new flight. If you haven’t been following along, each week, we visit a local brewery and create the perfect flight. What entails the perfect flight? I’m glad you asked. A perfect flight is one that shows the range that a brewery has to offer, from light to dark and a few stops and twists along the way. Once we create the flight, we post it here and ask you to go try the Brew Flight of the Week.
This week we are at Core4 brewery and I couldn’t be happier with this flight. Core4 is a fantastic Brewery tucked into Film Row in OKC, in the Paramount building, you know, where the giant Steven Adams mural is displayed. This taproom has a great feel and is the perfect spot to pull up, order a flight and have a great conversation with Buck or Jill Buchanan. Now on to the beer.
Beer #1
Soul shine 5.9% ABV
Nice, Clean, Refreshing Beer. This Blonde Ale is at the top of its game. If you are looking for something light and full of taste.
Beer #2
Maka a mango crazy 4% ABV
This is a Gose aged on a whole lot of mango. This was enough mango to make a Man Go Crazy.
Beer #3
Oklahoma sunset 5.3% ABV
This beer is distinctly Oklahoman, named after the amber color of an Oklahoma Sunset. It’s an American Amber that is smooth, and drinkable with hints of caramel and malts.
Beer #4
Death Before breakfast 9.3% ABV
This Breakfast Stout is loaded with Coffee, Chocolate, and aged with Oak and Bourbon. I believe it’s important to give Stouts a try when trying out new breweries, they really are very interesting beers and have a lot of versatility and flavor. This one would be great to start the day or finish it.
So, there you go, give these beers a try and let us know what you think. By the way, each of these beers have a story and you should defintely ask about them. Also, when we asked Buck how they named their beers, his answer was simple “We drink about it.”
