Avoid the Monday Night Blues with SINGO courtesy of Frenzy Brewing

If you are like me, you can and will find any excuse to get out of the house, especially on a Monday. Anything to help kickstart the week is a positive in my book. While I’m not opposed to grabbing a happy hour drink or indulging in a great restaurant meal, what I truly love are bar games. I’d much rather have some fun with my outing. This is why I head to Edmond’s very own Frenzy Brewing on Monday nights. It’s a two-for-one-er champion.

Each Monday they host a new and dare I say, more exciting version of bingo called Singo. And I am here for it. If you are new to the Singo world let me break it down for ya.’ For starters, each week’s Singo theme is different. Everything from 90’s R&B to 80’s Glam Rock to my personal favorite 2000’s pop (what up NSYNC and Brittney). Everyone is given a sheet of paper with two Singo games on it. Unlike Bingo each card has squares filled with the names of songs. As the round starts little snippets of songs are played and if you have the song, you mark it off. Don’t worry if you are like me and think you know every song until its plays and your mind goes blank, they allow you to use Shazam! It’s a fun and rambunctious game with the chance to win a free beer, swag, or even a 6 pack.

To make the game even more fun, insert a pint or two or three of Frenzy’s own brewed beer. They have someone for everyone, including the infamous Blue Hippo of Edmond, a perfectly named blueberry milkshake IPA. Not into IPA? Well, I feel bad for you but you’re in luck as Frenzy makes some amazing beers like Four Tsars Russian Imperial Stout (on nitro!), Yeah Yeah Yeah Blond Ale, #LakeLife Lager with lime, and my personal favorite at the moment, Tragic Ballerinas a passionfruit and pineapple sour. It was just re-released and if you’re a lover of sour beers or anything tasty- it’s a must-try! Head on over to Frenzy Monday night, snatch a pour, grab some grub from nearby, vibe to some funky tunes and prepare to yell SINGO. No matter it’s a win-win.

A self-proclaimed expert on all things noodles and nachos. Being a part of the community is important to her, as she is active with several non-profit and service organization. However, above all else she is a Super Nerd. A collector (and reader) of books, bugs, plants and anything and everything Star...Wars, Trek, NASA, it all. In fact, if you want to have a heart to heart about the Skywalker legacy and superiority of certain droids- Laconia is your girl. Oh, and if you have a dog, she will 100% ask to pet it and make it her new BFF. All in all, she is excited to be a part of the great local food, drink and music scene and can’t wait to explore it even more!
