National Margarita Day is here and what a day it is!

So it is 2.22.22 and it seems that all is right in the universe, I mean how could it not be? It is Taco Tuesday AND National Margarita Day! The weather may be fanatically trying to hang on to winter, but that isn’t going to stop us here at The Brew from fully participating in this holiday!

If you are out and about looking for a great margarita here are a few of our staff’s favorite picks in no particular order:

Mexican Radio In the Plaza District has the Dole Whip and it is off the chain! Made with Blanco tequila, pineapple, Banane du brésil, coconut cream, agave, lime, fruity pebble-salt rim. YUM!

Yo Pablo has locations in North OKC, Edmond, and Norman. You can choose from several Margaritas, but the Fresh Margarita made with agave is the smoothest you will find in town.

San Marcos #4 serves the boldest and most creative margaritas in town and if you want to really go to town you can order one the size of a table lol

Fuzzy’s has locations all over the metro and you won’t be disappointed with the Poppin Woody that is a visual delight and even includes a small upside-down champagne bottle in it! Fancy!

Sidecar has the GTO Margarita that is made with a Jalapeno infused tequila, housemade sweet and sour, and Cointreau noir lime and cucumber… who knew?

Louie’s … no matter which location you choose, has a super tasty Ultimate Margherita that will knock your socks off! With 1800 Reposado, Cointreau, Grand Marier, frozen lemonade, and a splash of orange juice, served frozen.

Pub W’s Perfect Margarita is served in a shaker and allows you to pour for yourself. It is definitely the perfect margarita with mi campo reposado tequila Cointreau grand Marnier fresh sweet & sour classic saucy… Yeah, baby!

So fun celebrating, one of the best days ever… National Margarita Day! Enjoy, drink responsibility and send us your pics!

Kari Huskey
Kari grew up in the small northern town of Wakita, Oklahoma (yes, the Twister town lol) After graduation, she took her small town roots to Oklahoma State University where she learned how to 2-step and chug a beer...and study...there was some studying going on too. :) This is where she found herself immersed in the local music scene and just like that, her love of music and writing began. Through the years Kari has become a half marathon enthusiast and uses that as an excuse to travel, giving her the chance to explore the culture of other cities across the US. During her travels she gained appreciation for great craft beer, delicious food and how to pour the perfect glass of wine...all the way to the top of course!
