The Brew Flight of the Week with Anthem Brewing

It’s time once more for The Brew Flight of the Week. This week we are drinking some Anthem Brews. If you haven’t been to Anthem’s taproom, now is the time. They have definitely put some work in and opened it up for a great crowd. The beer is fantastic and the atmosphere is welcoming.  They do regular events such as comedy shows, open mic nights, live music and are going to be doing outdoor movie nights on their new patio. And so, without further gilding the lily, And with no more ado, I give to you The Brew Flight of the Week.

#1

Ebb And Flow Lager – This Japanese Rice Lager sits at 4.4% and is crisp and delicious. The perfect way to start off a flight. Bring on the Pan Asian fare with this one as it begs to be paired with just about any flavor.

#2

Prophets of Haze – This New England Hazy IPA sits at 6.2% and made me miss the beach. It’s not too hoppy, but rich and smooth with fruity notes and a very drinkable body. This is the perfect second beer in a flight.

#3

Ode To Düsseldorf Altbier – This Altbeir comes in at 5.2% and makes me want to go travel all of Germany. For those of us with limited beer history knowledge, Altbeir is German for Old Beer. This one will take you way back with it’s beautiful flavor that glides down so smooth.

#4

UROBOROS- Finally this Stout comes at you with 8.5% alcohol content. To be clear, we can’t do an Anthem flight without paying homage to the legend that is Uraboros. It’s thick, rich and deserves to be savored, not just drank. It’s a beautiful end to a great flight.

There you go, your mission should you choose to accept, and you should, is to get to Anthem Brewing and order The Brew Flight of the Week. I’m not saying that you will live the rest of your life in regret if you don’t get this flight, but you might, and is it worth the risk?
